Removing your Cookies!

Published by psynopsis at 11:00 am under Tech support, Uncategorized Edit This

Do you want to remove all your cookies from your computer? But don’t know how or what this is all about?
Well to begin here is an explanation of what a computer cookie is, a cookie is a text-only string that gets entered into the memory of your browser. This value of a variable that a website sets. If the lifetime of this value is set to be longer than the time you spend at that site, then this string is saved to file for future reference. So you see, a cookie is just memory your browser stores for faster surfing. So why would anyone want to remove them? Well many cookies also store spyware, which slow down our computers and send our personal info to anyone on the web. Also, many internet users have skeletons hiding in this stored memory. Deleting cookies regularly can make some browsers run faster as well. This is the case of Apple’s Safari. To delete your cookies you have two options. One is to simply go to your start menu, click on the control panel and then go to Network and internet. There you will see internet options. Once there you will find “delete browsing history and cookies”. The other option is to download ccleaner, this tool is awesome, it works as a registry cleaner and as a file cleaner. The best thing about it it’s totally free! To download it go to www.ccleaner.com
