I recently got my iPod Touch as you may have read. Well, from the beginning I knew I wasn’t going to pay for Music from iTunes. One reason is my iPod by itself cost me more than 300 dollars, second reason is they overprice the stuff. I love Apple it’s their prices I hate. We all know that iPods are overpriced, there are cheaper Mp3s out there, but most of us like renown brands. I didn’t want something that no one would recognize when they saw it.

So when it came to getting music and videos, I wanted them free. So I searched the web, I typed in “free music downloads” and got tons of results on Google, the thing is most of those resulted in nothing but scams. They want you to create an account first, them they want you to start a trial which makes it not free. I finally found two sites that seemed promising.

First, I found (spiralfrog.com) I liked this site. Super easy to download stuff, and only requirements are you have to create an account and download some software. They are both free don’t worry, the software has no viruses or anything and it’s not that large. Here is the catch though, you CAN’T download them onto you IPOD or ZUNE. You can download anything you want to any other device but iPod. Since, I have an iPod the site was of no use to me. I just wanted to let you know, in case you might find it useful.

The second site is Limewire (Limewire.com) this is the site I am currently using. Actually it’s more of a software, the site is only for you to get info about Limewire and the software. Although, you can download the software on Cnet which i think it’s located on Download.com. It’s easy to download videos and music from Limewire, I had already heard about Limewire but when i entered their site the first time I aw the upgrade offer. So I thought you had to pay, the next time I took a look at it I realized that the price listed was for the upgrade. When you click on the Download basic button you will be shown a page that offers you the upgrade. You have to go down and click on the OS you are using. At first, I thought you had to choose some offers to get it but that’s for the other one. I just wanted to let everyone so you don’t think you have to pay, like I thought.
