Finally some cash!
As you may have already heard, the stimulus package has recently given broadband a few bucks ( a few billion). I was hoping for this as our current broadband is extremely slow. Current statistics indicate that America is almost at the bottom when it comes to Internet connection speed.
At the top is Japan (as always), followed by Australia. Then a few hundred more, then America. This is something they should have been investing on, even without the economic disarray. Most things, today relay on the internet, it may even help National Security. The thing that bothers me the most is congress wasting time and money, specially money, with the war in Iraq. I don’t think that the war is to help free the Iraqis, but as revenge and to show the world that we are not weak. That’s great, just stop using all our resources to do it.
While we spend money, on killing people who may or may not be innocent, we could be using it to keep our pace with the world. Just a thought congress!
