Help Arfie!
Do you use Dogpile for your search engine needs? Well, if you don’t you should. Dogpile is a metasearch engine, which means they gather results from multiple search engines. Currently they are receiving results from Google, Yahoo, MSN Search, Ask , About, MIVA, LookSmart, and more.

It used to be my default search engine, but like most search engines other than Google, they become forgotten and we stop using them altogether. Well, today I decided to stop by and check on their donation drive. They started a Donation drive last year to help animal charities. If you use Dogpile, they will add a few cents to the Donation drive, which I found out this year they already collected $401,942 and some cents. Although, by the time you read this it will be much higher. They focus on animal charities, specifically where dogs are involved, due to Arfie and the name of the search is Dogpile why else?. Arfie is Dogpile’s mascot, you can see him everytime you visit Dogpile by the way.

The Donation Drive is called Search & Rescue, join to in the fight to end animal cruelty and find loving homes for all adoptable pets. Just search the Web through the Dogpile Search & Rescue program. An you can also set Dogpile as your preferred search engine. I can’t because I am using Chrome as my browser and IE and Firefox are the only ones that can support the feature right now. But I am doing my part in promoting Search $ Rescue, and I placed an easy to use search box, on the right. Take a look!
